Okutama

Okutama is surrounded by mountains and forest, it means you can enjoy refreshing widing road!
If you use express way, it takes only a hour to reach this start point from central Tokyo.
Tomin-no-mori Parking

There is a shop and toilet and many riders take a rest.
"Mitou-dango", rice dumpling is popular snack of this shop.
※The section from Tomin-no-mori Parking to Lake Okutama is closed at night and opened 8:00~19:00 (9:00~18:00 from October to March).
There are some observatory. You can see skyscrapers of Tokyo and Lake Okutama from these point.
Taba valley

Feel relax by watching beautiful green mountains and clear stream.
You will enter Yamanashi prefecture after Lake Okutama and the twisty road continues along Taba valley.
There is less traffic and you can feel relaxed by the clear river and fresh green trees.
The leaves turn red and yellow, you can see beautiful autumn leaves in November.
Yanagisawa Peak

Mt. Fuji has towered with its majestic shape since ancient times.
The road goes up the mountain towards Yanagisawa Peak. That peak is altitude of 1472m and there is a toilet and small cafe.
The cafe mainly serves japanese foods. Soba noodle, ice cream(in summer), sweet red bean soup(in winter).
When you visit in sunny day, you will be moved by a spectacular view of Mt. Fuji.
Daibosatsu line

There are many curved bridges. It’s like riding in the sky!
After passing the peak, the landscape will be change drastically from deep valley to opened mountain ridge.
This is the highlight of this route. There are some bridges and the road projects out to the air.

Once riding through those dynamic curves and watching beautiful mountains, you must fall in love with Daibosatsu line!
Gradually the road goes down to Kofu basin, in Yamanashi prefecture.
Peach, grape, plum and pear...This area is famous as fruit and there are a lot of fruit field.
